Violet is attending California Institute of the Arts as a film major.

She won her first film festival at age 16 for a film she shot during the pandemic, at age 15.  (“Trapped,” earning her Young Filmmaker Award at the Burbank International Film Festival, 2022).

She then did an internship with award winning documentary filmmaker, Eve Van Dyke, (www.levandyke), where Violet helped with research and editing.  (One such project was a PSA for People’s Pottery Project, which is shown in her portfolio).

Violet is loving CalArts, and works in the equipment cage, where she gets to take care of all the film equipment for the school.

Besides school and film, Violet has volunteered for multiple years with The Gentle Barn in Santa Clarita, and also was a violinist in the Pasadena Youth Orchestra during high school. Other hobbies include snowboarding, hiking, kayaking, and hopes to travel as much as possible.
